Behind the Scenes at Altissia: Manuel, Account Manager

Discover Manuel’s career path! He’s a Venezuelan engineer based in Colombia bringing his expertise to project management as an Account Manager at Altissia for the Northern Latin America region.

Can you tell us a little bit about who you are and what you do at Altissia?

I am a young Venezuelan living in Colombia, and I am trained as an industrial maintenance engineer. A large part of my work experience has been oriented towards commerce in multinational mass-consumption companies. I work as an account manager for Latin American countries at Altissia, specifically in the northern region of LATAM.

What languages do you speak?

I speak Spanish and English.

What are the key factors for ensuring the quality and success of the projects you manage at Altissia?

Understanding and knowing the product you offer inside and out, its strengths and its limitations. Maintaining constant and fluent communication with the coordinators of each project. Optimizing and standardizing project processes to progressively increase efficiency.

What is your secret weapon to ensure the success of your projects?

To be open to adapt, to be creative and to think of alternatives that are as malleable as possible to the client's needs. I understand that all projects are different and have specific requirements.

What are the main challenges you or your clients face and how do you solve them?

Sometimes, the client's needs are not aligned with the solutions offered by the platform. One of the main challenges is finding options that fit those needs without sacrificing the effectiveness of the project.

What do you like most about your job?

What I enjoy most about my job is how versatile and non-monotonous the role can be. We work, among other things, on relationships, process management, communication and motivation, training and pedagogy. This allows for a great variety of tasks, which means I always have something different to work on. Additionally, I really enjoy the autonomy and freedom I have when implementing my ideas in the projects.

How does having a single point of contact make a difference for your clients and how does it work at Altissia?

It allows for a close relationship with the project coordinators; at Altissia, it helps to centralize all the client's needs and have a clear person responsible for the project who can commit to delivery times and deadlines, independently manage and plan the whole project, and keep things running smoothly in a satisfactory way.
